I’m sitting on the sofa when Myst went out of his room.
“Look Xyrie. I have an idea. Let’s make a deal.” I slowly put down the spoon to my bowl of cereal that has no more milk.
“What kind of deal?”
Sweet Nightmare*
“Is the kind of deal for loyalty testing where you’ll act as a hostage?”
“No. It will go like this: I will ensure the safety of Aqua and—“A bowl went flying towards Myst but he ducked.
“What’s that for?!” Myst exclaimed.
“For my sister.” I grabbed a glass bottle and threw it to him “What’s wrong with you people?” I shrugged and threw the pillows from the sofa. “You use my sister for contracts and deals…” I threw my blanket. “…just because you feel like the person is too vulnerable to fight.” I threw a vase. “What do you think is my sister?” I made the glass table shattering. “A life insurance paper?” I threw a painting. “A raffle ticket?”
“Xyrie stop!” He shielded himself using his arms.
“Aqua is a human too! Treat her like a human! She’s not—“ I was shocked when Myst sprinted and pushed me because I’m about to slip. Myst is on top of me and I am lying on the sofa. I felt his hot breathing and the warmness of his body. My heartbeat quickened. I looked at his blue eyes and hesitantly looked at his lips. I gulped invisible phlegm.
“Kiss her…” My mind whispered. I closed my eyes. Kiss her… there’s no harm of kissing…her?! I opened my eyes the same time I heard static. Myst is inches away from me. I pushed him away.
“What’s… who’s that?”
“You have no damned… signal… I can’t… watch… hear… Myst… damn!” Static came afterwards.
“Someone’s watching us? Me?!”
“No… no I mean… let me explain hold on a second and take three deep breaths.”
“You almost kissed me!”
“Me? It’s not I, it’s you. You even put your face close!”
“That’s ridiculous! What’s your plan? Is what you’ve been telling me even real? Myst? Who’s Myst? You? Well, Echo, I think it’s not just your name who revealed itself, even your colours revelled themselves.” I crossed my hands under my breasts and rolled my eyes.
“Yes I’m Myst okay but—“
“But what Myst? Tell me! Don’t make me dumb, tell—“ I slowly fell into the ground as spots of black interfere with my vision.
“Xyrie? … Xyrie! ...” sounds began to fade and so did my vision.
Sweet Nightmare*
“Michael! What the hell is your problem?! We’re about to have that moment! Myst is already…!”
“Myst huh? And now even you? I thought Myst is just about to get Miss Xyrie’s sympathy? How come he also got yours? Is it because he’s rewired? … He betrayed us, Murdock! He’s a traitor!”
“Stop acting like an i***t! Since we were kids, he’s been like that, but it’s only you and I who noticed. People above us are blind. But not when my plan works.” He smirked.
“Plan, plan, plan. Has no other word in his dictionary but plan. Father should’ve just made you a wedding planner or a mafia if all you do is plan. Or take my job, be a certified CEO who plans to have his voice back…” I softly closed the door.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I can’t wake her so I can’t give her the medicine to decrease her temperature that went dangerously high. The aircon made her shivering so I turned the heater at the same time. “Why have I let this place outdated again? ‘cause if I haven’t, I should’ve just used the surrounding thermostat.”
Sweet Nightmare*
I placed a damp towel unto Xyrie’s burning forehead. I stood up and looked around my room trying to figure out something as to how to help her. “Your room is locked so I hope you won’t feel foreign with my room.” I walked out and slowly closed the door, trying so hard not to make a single sound. I walked at the hallway to Xyrie’s room. I can’t remember if I placed any medicines here so I think I would check if she has an illness of some kind. I inserted a skeleton key inside the lock hole. “I made this for hours while she’s asleep so you must work.” The door clicked. I smiled and opened the door. I turned the lights on and been frozen at my place due to what I’ve seen. I saw pictures of people. No, these are coloured sketches but looks more like pictures. I walked straight to the work table and sat the chair. I touched and scanned the uncoloured sketch on top of a pile. Captain Ray Ore. “The captain of the rebel’s special forces...” I looked around and scanned the hanging coloured sketches, the ones on the floor, the bed, and the ones exposed at some of the piles of papers.
” Aqua Amenueba, Joseph Amenueba, Lilibeth Amenueba, some animals…” I also saw a vet’s uniform sketched but uncoloured. I stood up and about to leave when I noticed a paper hidden under a stack of notebooks. I took it and touched the familiar boy smiling back at me. I scanned the coloured sketch. “Myst Lance…” My system whispered because I’m too afraid to say it out loud. “Me…?” I managed to say. I felt an electrifying pain inside my head and my chest throbbed. The pain is unbearable that I limply left the room. I closed the door behind and locked it. I slowly slid down the back of the door. My tears started dropping but I became too numb that I need to touch it and look at my hand for confirmation.
“Why am I crying? How does she know me?” I rested my head at my knees. “What have I forgotten?”
Sweet Nightmare*
“Kob, any news about Myst?”
“Negative sir. Their place is out of our signal’s reach and I guess, it’s just a coincidence that we have had communicated with him.”
“Thanks.” I sat at my chair and sipped my coffee. “There’s a big possibility that our plan would flip upside down.”
“What do you mean sire?”
“Miss Xyrie is tough and I admire her for that while Myst is soft which not a good attribute is when you’re the bad guy’s son. Who do you think would fall first?” I sipped at my coffee once again.
