I lighted a candle and turned off the lights. I don’t know what to do next if this doesn’t work. I heard someone tapping his foot at the doormat. I froze. Sweet Nightmare* “Hello Echo.” Damn, this is harder than I’ve expected. “I’ve noticed you are different from the other droids so maybe you are eating.” I’ve rehearsed multiple times over with a statue so maybe it wouldn’t be different since they’re both cold…right? “I’ve made our dinner, in case you want.” Buffering… I thought it’s longer… wait I didn’t use uhms so… why is he just staring?  “A normal dinner doesn’t require candles and roses. What do you want?” He sat and cut off a chicken leg. He ate and just stared. I worked hard for this thing and I would get that question this fast? “I uhm…” “Yes?” It’s now or never. “Can I at least visit Aqua? Or if you think that’s too risky, can I at least be informed of what’s happening to her? It’s not like it’d cause some harm… it’s just that…” “No, sorry but I have no control of the info about your sister.” “Anything? I’ve found something about me at your watch so maybe there’s also something about Aqua and—“ “What you’ve seen is strictly confidential and I had no intention of telling you anything about it until everything’s back in order.” “What order? Is it about the rebels? You’re trying to kill them aren’t ‘ya? To stop them? You… heartless androids.” “I just saved your life from being killed by those droids and this is what I hear? Heartless? I think you already owe me something so be good.” “I owe nothing to an android like you. In case you forgot, I am nothing but a useless human being of Finstate if I don’t have the answers that you want and I know for sure that I don’t have.” “Still being tough huh? Why? Have those rebels told you to say nothing? Hmmm… I see. Well, they deserve things that are happening to them though. I guess.” “So you and those droids are killing them. Don’t you know that they also have a family of their own? If you just listen, how many children are longing for a father? A mother? Brothers, sisters? Or even all of them? I’ve never underestimated the androids so I think you know for sure that the reign of Dystopia has nowhere to lead but down.” “We’ve never taken death as an option to stop the stupidness of your kind. It’s the people like you, are those who are killing them, not us.” “Oh yeah? How much human compost pits are there at Arabelle? Too many to be counted by your fingers huh.” I stood up. I can't take this any more. If he can’t show me Aqua then this is done. “Okay, this is enough. I’m finished eating. Enjoy your food. Excuse me.” I turned. “Theft, arson case, homicide, murder, fraud, breach of contract claims. They are your cases… am I correct?” I stopped walking. My back is turned but I heard the napkin so he must be cleaning his mouth. “I never brought you here just for answers. I’m at trouble because of what I’m doing. I brought you here because I don’t like how they act and what they do. I’m not Michael nor Murdock but if you were at their hands… you’d be dead right at this moment. Those two deserves to be called heartless.” “How can you say those things to those who’s like you? I heard they were your brothers.” I said without turning. Echo played with his fork. “I have no brother. And if ever I had, they are long dead.” “Care to tell me why?” I got no answer so I walked towards my room and opened the door. “They are lost. That’s why.” I closed the door. I’m hungry. Is Aqua hungry too at this moment? Sweet Nightmare* >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mom called me at the place where they laid the picnic cloth. I ran towards them. I wanted to tell them I missed them so much. I wanted to tell them that I’m tired of fixing something I’m not capable of fixing but all I manage was laugh at the jokes of my dad. I was having fun that I don’t want this moment to stop but a dark hurricane came and the place burned into ashes. I took hold of their hands afraid to lose them once again. I hold as tight as I could but they were taken by the hurricane. They started to dissolve into the blackness. I sat upright at my bed. Beads of sweat ran down my face. I rubbed my hands at my face. I combed my hair using my hand. “Mom… they were just… dreams…” I looked around. “Nothing but a remote dream.” Sweet Nightmare* I sat at the dining table and started eating my cereal. He leaves early and gets home late. Is he avoiding me?” I dropped the spoon hard. “If he is…why do I even care?!” I stood up and fetched some milk. I poured some milk into the bowl enough to drown the cereal. “He cannot be killed huh.” I sat and eat. “A toaster has a plug, the TV, the charger, all needs to be plugged. A bulb has a switch… but echo is not chargeable. He sleeps, he eats, he… he’s a human?” I laughed. “That’s ridiculous! What am I even thinking?” I stood up and placed the bowl at the sink. “But when he leaned at me, he doesn’t seem cold like what metals should be. He’s warm. And charming and handsome and… cute. … wait, what?!” I shook my head as if I need my brain to fly out of my head. “If he’s warm, he’s got body heat. And someone with body heat has a heart. And someone with a body and a heart can be killed. But how can someone like him be killed?” I opened the faucet and realized something. “By cutting the source!” I shouted but eventually stopped and covered my mouth using my hands. “He can’t possibly put me in his source of life.” This water from the faucet doesn’t just come out of nowhere. And electrical things don’t produce their electricity. They have to have a source. “But where is his?” I scrubbed the bowl. “The best hiding spot is the one visible of the seeker.” I smiled. Sweet Nightmare*
