8/10: My name is Zander, and I have finally found meaning in my work. Being an engineer has had its ups and downs, but after choosing to use my abilities to serve others rather than myself, I have realized my true purpose. The people of Kawatka, Africa deserve every advantage we can give them, and hopefully, I can help provide the fresh water their village desperately needs. In a country ripped apart by civil unrest, plague, and poverty, a little piece of mind can work wonders. In this case, a wonder will be what is expected of me. Accompanying me on this project is my friend Caitlyn—a linguist—and her husband Pete. Cait studied at Oxford like myself and graduated with honors in foreign studies.
