You just killed one of our leaders.” We look at each other for a moment, and then— A dark body flies before my eyes and screams as it soars through the air. Grey, stone skin covering a fanged infant whisks by with small, feathered wings fluttering behind it. A demonic child crashes into the ground with an ear-piercing screech and explodes into a pool of black blood. To my left, I spot a second Ajalu. I see a tall, skeletal body that’s curved at the upper end of its torso and with blackened ribs spread too far apart. Rather than legs, its lower ribs extend downward and become spindles of bone, propelling it above the ground as a dozen fanged infan
