Chapter 5

'Alright, Children!' Said Callidora, 'we're going to be practicing your magic now since you have managed to master your training in defense. Now, we must start your magic.' Callidora showed them. When her hand swirled, a ball of fire appeared. 'When this ball of fire appears, you have to say Severance!' The ball of fire had hit a tree. Iris was amazed at the power it had. 'It's your turn to try now' Callidora said. Iris and the others swirled their hands and said Severance. Jake, Keara, and Serenity had hit one tree but Iris hit three trees at once. 'Of course, coming from the most powerful half-demon. Good job, children. You must now perfect this technique and we'll move on to the next one.' All of them nodded yes. 'Good Job Iris!' Said Keara. 'Thanks.' Iris replied. Jake was smiling and Iris noticed this, but Jake looked away. They all practiced to perfect it. Iris will be able to say the Hysteria Vanquisher chant. A very powerful chant that has been used by all the people that had Pirry inside of them for the last 1000 years. Callidora thought. If she used this against the good, she would lead to the destruction of all of humanity. She must be able to control this power. Iris and the others had perfected the technique in less than an hour. They all cheered except for Callidora, 'Save the celebration for the last children, we still have a lot of magic spells to do: Enigma, Purity, Soulshard, Lullaby, and the most powerful of them all that I know only Iris can perfect this kind of magic, Hysteria Vanquisher.' As soon as Callidora said this, the nearby trees started to sway, and the wind was even colder. 'What is the Hysteria Vanquisher, grandma?' Iris asked. 'The most powerful chant in all of Hell.' Callidora replied, 'only you can do this chant, and it would lead to the destruction of humanity if you sided with the Realm Demons. Before you can use this magic, you must first perfect every single form of magic known to the Demons. Let's practice Enigma first.' Callidora put her hand out front and closed her eyes and said Enigma. As soon as she said this, a pentagram started showing on her hand. And then whispered Convergence. The pentagram got bigger and Callidora pushed her hand forward and it hit a tree. Iris and her three friends were amazed. 'It's your turn, dears.' Callidora said as she clasped her hands below her stomach. They all practiced and, of course, Iris had hit four trees now. 'Keara,' Callidora began to speak, 'You must practice Lullaby.' 'What's that?' Keara asked in such a sweet voice. 'A manipulative magic using a flute or any other instrument. 'Ooh!" Keara replied cheerfully, 'I will! Teach me Callidora!' Callidora nodded. 'You children must continue practicing that magic.' Callidora and Keara walked away. 'You're doing a good job, Sis!' Said Serenity. Iris nodded. 'You both are doing a great job!' Iris smiled. Jake blushed a bit. 'Thanks.' Both Serenity and Jake answered. Jake could feel himself blushing. And they practiced until they perfected it. All the other spells, they perfected in three days. 'Now, Iris, it's time for you to master Hysteria Vanquisher. ' Said Callidora. Iris nodded. 'Recite the chant, Els Dimonis d’Algarath, el poder que m’ha donat el poderós Gran Assala. El cel negre ballant amb fortes pluges. Obre les portes d’Iildana!' Callidora said. Iris recited the chant and she floated. Her eyes went red and fire hit the trees nearby, both red and orange flames. Callidora told her to stop, but Iris couldn't control herself. Jake grabbed her hand and hugged her. 'Please stop now, Iris, this magic is too difficult for you... I lo-' Jake cut his sentence and Iris went back to her normal self. Iris began to speak, 'What were you gonna say Jake..?' Jake nodded hesitantly. 'Nothing...' 'Okay.' Iris replied, 'Hmm, seems you can't fully get to your full potential yet, Iris.' Said Callidora. Iris nodded. 'But I believe you'll be able to reach it soon. Just not right now yet.' Jake stood there silently, looking back at what he was going to say to Iris. "Did I really almost say I love you to her? That's stupid." Jake hit his forehead a number of times. 'Jake? Are you okay?' Iris asked. 'Yeah I'm okay,' Jake replied. Keara whispered to Serenity, saying, "I think Jake likes Iris." Serenity whispered back, "Yeah, and I think Iris likes him back too!" Keara and Serenity have shipped Jake and Iris. 'What are you two whispering about?' Iris asked. 'Oh, nothing!' Keara replied, snickering. 'Hmm, okay.' Keara and Serenity were chuckling all the way to their room.

That night, Iris and Jake fell asleep. Iris had a bad dream again, the same dream over and over again. Iris woke up, whimpering and crying, 'I'm so weak aren't I?'she screamed and stuff fell over. Jake woke up and saw Iris crying. He went over to her and comforted her, 'I'm weak, aren't I, Jake?' Iris asked with puffy eyes. 'No, you aren't'" Jake replied. 'You're the most powerful half-demon I know, and you're the prettiest too...' Jake blushed and Iris blushed too. 'Uh forget what I said.' Jake said. Iris nodded okay. 'You want me to sleep beside you? You might cry again.' Jake asked. Iris replied, 'Sure, I guess so.' They went back to sleep together.

Jake woke Iris up, 'Iris!' Iris rubbed her eyes and said 'What?' 'Someone's here...' said Jake. Iris jumped out of bed and said 'Who?' 'A demon.' Iris' eyes opened. "A demon, here? How?" 'We must wake the others up,' Jake said. And they walked out of their room and woke the others up and informed them. Callidora got up and told them 'It's Xanaroth Lili, a demon or a succubus that feeds on children and pregnant women, she must have been sent by Lucifer.' 'What do we do grandma?' 'We have to use the powers that you learned over the past few days.' Callidora replied, and all of them nodded yes.

'I'm here for the Pirry holder, Iris Gracey Taylor. Submit her to me and I will leave you unharmed.' Said Xanaroth. 'Let's go,' said Iris. All of them followed Iris, 'You're looking for me?' She asked Lili. 'Lucifer has asked for you, submit yourself!' Lili replied. 'Too bad, we're not giving her up to you, demon.' Said Jake. 'Well, then I guess you wanted a fight, let's see what you all got!' 'Let's use the powers we've learned from the last few days, guys, we must defeat this demon.' Iris said and all of them agreed. Callidora will be helping them a little. Iris shouted Enigma, the others followed and all of them said together Convergence, and they all pushed their hand forward and hit Lili. 'Well, you guys have been training, I see. But that's nothing! Cursed Soul!' Lili hit Keara. 'You're mine now!' 'Guys help me!' Keara cried out. "' prohibited magic!' said Callidora. They hit Lili a bunch of times using their powers and, fortunately, they won the battle and Keara was saved from Cursed Soul. They were all exhausted but Iris used her magic the most and she fainted. Serenity healed her, and she said 'Iris will wake up in a few days. She used her magic power way too much, and her energy is drained by it. She needs rest.' Jake was really worried so he stayed by Iris's side until Iris wakes up.
