The next morning, the bell rang loud again. "Ugh!" Iris groaned. "I'm up! I'm up!" She got out of bed. "Now can you please shut up?". "Jeez." She sighed. She combed her messy hair and went outside to the bathroom to bathe. On the way there she saw Jake, walking to his own bathroom with that cold-blooded face. "Sheesh!" Iris whispered to herself, "He's back at that face again..." Jake took a glimpse to look at Iris and looked away walking to the bathroom.          Iris rolled her eyes and went to her bathroom. She took a bath with cold water, she submerged her face into the water and thought "When can I control my powers? or even get them. I'm sure I already have my powers but I don't know how to use it, " She sighed, "Maybe in training, I'll know." She stood up and got out of the tub. She placed herself in a towel and got out. On the way back to her bathroom, she saw her sister Serenity. "Serenity!" She hugged her. "H-hey sis..." Serenity replied. Iris smiled happily, "You doing okay?" "Yeah, I am doing okay..." Said Serenity. "We're gonna be late for training so I got to go. Can you please let go of me?" "Alright." Iris replied. She let go of her. "See you in training..." Serenity said and walked away. "Hmm, what's wrong with her? She changed..." Iris walked away.         She got back to her room and opened her closet. She took her training clothes and changed herself. Se then went out to the field. She saw Keara practicing her moves while learning how to fight. And Serenity training with a sword. Jake was so busy in his training clothes fighting a wooden stand that he didn't see Iris pass by. Iris fought the wooden stand and Callidora went in the field and said "Alright, half-demons in training, we are now going to fight each other using any knowledge you have. If anyone's hurt, you can go to the infirmary which is beside the cafeteria in the west side of the castle.  We'll be fighting by pair. " "Please don't pair me with Jake..." Iris thought to herself. "First pair is Jake and Iris. Second is Serenity and Keara." "Ugh." Iris groaned. "I'll come back later when your training for today is done." She walked away. Jake didn't say anything when confronting Iris. While Serenity and Keara kept making fun of each other while training.         Iris positioned her stance. "Why don't you always open your mouth?" She said while fighting Jake. Jake fought back without saying anything. "s**t!" Iris said to herself. She fought back by kicking Jake. 'All boys are the same! They just break your heart!" She exclaimed and finished Jake off by fighting. She panted and looked at Jake. He had the same cold-blooded look in his face but you could tell he was a little bit sad for what Iris said. Iris ran away crying a little. Serenity and Keara stopped fighting and wondered what happened to the both of them. Jake sat there questioning what happened with the same look on his face. The he laid down in the grass panting. Callidora saw Iris crying going to her room. Callidora went to the field to see what happened.          "Jake?" she called out. "Callidora..." Jake said and stood up. "What happened?" She asked. "I...really don't know..." He said. Callidora sighed, "Okay, I'll talk to her. All of you keep on training while I confront my granddaughter." She walked away. Serenity and Keara trained. While Jake sat there in the grass looking at the sky. "Is that what she really thinks of boys?..." He asked himself, "It's all because of Lucifer! That darn b***h!" He groaned. Callidora went to Iris' chambers. She knocked on her door. "Iris?" Iris cried on her pillow. Nikki was there patting her by using her paw. Nikki then opened the door. "Queen Callidora..." She bowed. "Nikki." Callidora replied. "Iris.." Callidora patted her head, Iris took off the pillow from her face with tears coming down. Iris wiped her tears, "I compared him to Lucifer. Even though they're different..." "It's alright. Now tell me, do you...like Jake for real?" Callidora asked. Iris was hesitant for a moment. She turned to her side facing the window. "I mean, I'm not sure yet... But if he knows, he wouldn't like me back. Because I compared him to Luci. Although, I think boys are the same. They break girls heart and go away like nothing happened. I f*****g really hate this feeling!" 'Language." Callidora said. "Why don't you look inside his wounded heart and see what he really is." Iris stayed quiet for a few minutes, she sighed. "Alright, I'll try..." She got out of bed. "Good. It would only be a week till Lucifer will come back to Earth to take what you have." Callidora said.         Iris patted Nikki. Nikki meowed. "I mean, I'm ready. But I still can't move on..." She said. "Your friends will help you move on." Callidora replied. Iris nodded and went out. Callidora followed her out. Iris went to the field and saw Jake sitting there while Serenity and Keara were still fighting and laughing. Iris went closer to Jake. "Hey..." She said. Jake sat there with his no emotion face. Iris began apologizing over and over until Jake had enough and he kissed her cheek. "Don't apologize over and over again to me..." Iris froze with her cheeks burning. Jake sat there in the grass wearing his hood. He began to say, "Aren't we going to continue training or not?" Iris snapped back, "Y-yeah," She said. "Let's continue training. " Jake stood up and helped Iris up by lending her a hand. She took it smiling. She put up her fighting stance. Jake did too. "We should really hang out often..." He began to say. "'W-what?" Iris questioned with her cheeks burning. "I meant as friends of course...Isn't that we are?..." Jake asked. "I mean, yeah..." Iris replied. "Alright." He aid. Then they trained. Iris asked "Do you know how to use a sword?" "No..." Jake replied. Jake kicked Iris. "Damn it!" She fell. "Focus on battle...if you don't, you'll fall easily." He said. He helped her up. "Right." She replied. "Again." Jake said. "Those two are getting along very well..." Serenity said to Keara. "Yeah." Then Keara kicked Serenity. "Ouch!" Serenity exclaimed. "Sorry!" Said Keara in that very girlish voice that she has. "You should really focus." "I know." Serenity replied. They kept training. And it was time for lunchbreak.          They went to the cafeteria and ate. Jake opened his mouth, "Iris, I saw you yesterday in the balcony singing..." Iris blushed. "O-oh!" "Even saw you floating with that beautiful hair of yours..." Jake replied. Iris exclaimed to her self, "Did he just call my hair BEAUTIFUL?! This idiot." She blushed more. "T-that was nothing..." She said, pulling her hair down. "K..." Jake replied. They finished their food without talking with each other again. Then it was break time, Serenity and Keara hung out in the castle halls. While Iris was going back to her chambers. On the way there, Jake grabbed her hand and said "You're always alone by yourself. Come on..." He ran grabbing Iris' hand. "Hey! Wait! Jake! Where are we going?!" She asked. Jake didn't answer, he was just running. "Don't ignore me, you i***t!" Jake still kept running to the point where they reached a spot in the castle and Jake let go of her hand. Iris took a a minute to catch her breath. "You f*****g idiot." She said, catching her breath. "Sorry..." Jake apologized. "That's fine..."Iris said, "Why bring me here?" "Oh, I don't really know. Just...talk about more with each other I guess..." Jake replied. "K." Iris said, sitting on the garden's grass. "Hmm, pretty garden." Said Iris. "Like you.." Jake said silently. "Hmm, you said something?" Iris asked. Jake looked at her then looked away, "Nothing..."  "Okay..." Iris said. They were silent for a few minutes.         "So-" Iris began to speak, but Jake interrupted, "I wasn't always like this..." Iris had a mad look on her face, "Why didn't you let me finish my sentence you i***t!" She exclaimed. Then she hit Jake's arm with her elbow. "Sorry." Jake chuckled a little. "Hmph! Idiot." Iris folded her arms. "Hey, sorry." Jake talked to her in an apologizing tone. Iris ignored him. "Alright, what were you gonna say?" Jake sat there with his leg up. Iris stayed quiet for a few minutes and finally opened her mouth, "Why are you like this..." Jake stared at the sky silently. "My mom left me when I was young. She said she would come back. But she didn't..." Iris could see Jake's eyes tearing up. "I haven't see her in years. When I was 15, I left my hometown to start my own life. It was hard, considering there weren't people who like me cause of my personality. But there was only one girl who accepted me who I am. Amelia Miller..." He chuckled. "Ah, memories. She really was my girlfriend in my old school when I was 15. She really did made me happy for a while...No until a year later to our relationship, she grew tired of me and decided to cheat on me." He laughed. But Iris could see he was sad.         "Been cold-blooded ever since and didn't fall in love ever again. " He finished off by saying "Love is shit." He cried. He turned away because he didn't want to let Iris see him like that. Iris pitied him and she hugged him. "Everything is gonna be okay..." "Really..." Jake asked. "Yes." Iris replied. "Your friends are here for you." Jake smiled a little, Iris smiled back. "Come on, we don't wanna be late for our afternoon training..." Iris stood up and lent Jake a hand. Jake took it. "Alright." Iris then held his hand tightly and ran to the field. "Hey!" Jake exclaimed. "Haha! It's payback!" Iris said. "Jeez!" Jake shouted and Iris ran to the field where they would train again.
