"Referee!”
The shout came from somewhere inside the ring as the final bell echoed through the arena. The referee rushed in at once, pushing between the two fighters. Jaden stood over Frank Bernard, his chest rising and falling like a storm. His gloves were still up, but the look in his eyes was far away—cold, dark, and wild.
Frank gasped for air, lying flat on the mat. The sound of his breathing filled the silence for only a moment before the entire arena exploded.
“JADEN! JADEN! JADEN!”
The crowd’s chant grew louder and louder until it shook the roof. Thousands of people were on their feet, jumping, screaming, waving banners. Flashing lights from cameras filled the air as fans captured the moment the underdog had done the impossible.
