Oh, my goodness, we were so thankful to see you and your family tonight. Your children are absolute dolls and they lit up the nursing home when you come to visit! Your daughter dressed up as a ninja and your son dressed up as a unicorn was the most adorable thing and everyone in the center enjoyed seeing them!
I had no idea that Sally across the hall from me was your aunt. She would gush about her daughter and grandkids, and I had no idea that she was talking about you! I am so sorry that you lost your parents at such a young age. I know how hard that can be, seeing as I went through the same thing with my mother. I wish that I had an aunt like you do, who took me in to raise me. I was unfortunately raised in foster care, but I was lucky enough to find a family who adopted me and loved me as one of their own.
Your children were so well behaved. I could see it in your eyes and hear it in your voice because of how worried you were about them running around. We old people love to see children like that. It gives us energy and nothing but pure enjoyment.
Don’t mind Mike, he is nothing but all bark. He absolutely enjoyed seeing your kids and after you all left, he was asking Sally when you would bring those babies back. It was funny to see Mr. Grouch be Mr. Sappy instead for once. I hope that those babies receive all the candy that their little hearts can get, and you get a 10% cut for taking them out. I used to tell my son that that was my tax cut. Gretchen is getting antsy with me tonight because it is past midnight and I’m still not asleep. One day I’ll be doing nothing but sleeping. For now, I will go back to sewing.
Sincerely,
Gertrude Reynolds
