Good evening to you and your family. Today my friends and I were taken to the park for a special picnic from the city. It turns out that there were some people who lived with me who had served in the military and helped end the war. They don’t talk much about those days, which I can completely understand. My father was in the military during the Chernobyl Crisis. He would tell us kids about how chaotic things were within the government and military.
I saw you and your family in the park as well. I’m not sure if it was you or your husband that was in the military. It could have been both of you, and for that, I want to thank you and your family for your service. It was wonderful seeing all the children running around in the park and playing with one another. I remember when I used to take my son to the park. By the age of 12 he no longer wanted to spend time like that with us.
Your daughter was beautiful dressed in her purple dress with silver butterflies. It looked almost like one of the designs that I had made for the boutique in town. I still have a few other designs to send to them, and I’m hoping that that is where you got your daughters' dress. Your son looked handsome in his matching purple button-up and black jeans. I wish that my son had had a sibling to grow up with. I wonder if I would have grandchildren or great grandchildren to leave my few belongings to.
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful time tonight. You look like you’re feeling a little better from Halloween. I’m so happy to hear that you and your family are expecting to add onto your little family. Your aunt Sally told me all about it today after you had stopped by to see her at our table. I hope that you are feeling better and that you come visit more often. Your children are absolute joys at the center. I will write to you again soon.
Sincerely,
Gertrude Reynolds
