Letter 11 Happy Birthday Little One

Well hello dear,

I hope that you and your family are doing well. Today is a very special day for myself. I celebrate this day every year. I remember this day almost as if I was reliving it. I know you probably feel the same way about your children. Times were a little different with the birth of my son compared to what you are able to do now.

My labor was absolutely horrible. I repeatedly wished that I had not gotten pregnant when I was in labor. It was absolutely terrible. My labor started at 4 in the morning on the 27th. I had always heard stories about how women go into labor in the wee hours, but didn't think it would actually happen! I stayed in labor until I had my lovely little boy at almost midnight that night. The labor was strenuous and I was absolutely exhausted, but when I got to hold him it was absolutely worth it.

I miss my little boy. He was the little star that lit up my life. He made me realize that no matter what happened, I would be loved unconditionally. Gretchen was able to get me out of the building today to go see his resting place. He and his father are resting peacefully together, side by side. I believe I will be joining them shortly. I wish I could hold them again. I miss them very much.

I hope that you and those babies are doing well. The change of weather has caused a lot of illnesses in this nursing home. Quite a few of the nurses have had to call off recently because they were sick with whatever is going around. I wish you the best deary.
