Well, it's official dear,
Gretchen and I were watching the news and that gosh darn groundhog saw his shadow again. I am so tired of getting my weather report from an animal that doesn't even talk. It just sits there looking all smug. I can't stand groundhogs! You know we had to get rid of a big one in that shed out in the backyard? I thought that he was going to take over my yard. I absolutely said no and immediately went out and got me a shotgun. Sally always laughed her butt off when we would talk about stories like that. She never believed me when I said I shot that darn groundhog dead! She would make fun of me and say that I couldn't even bring myself to kill a mouse that hid itself in my room. She was right though about that mouse. He was a little sweetie pie, a cute little white mouse.
I am so happy that my most recent appointment was around the time that the bus came to pick up your babies. Your baby bump is so cute and those kids just loved on you like crazy while waiting on the bus. Cherish those moments dear, because before you know it, that will all be nothing but a memory. I wish that I could go back to that time. I miss my baby boy so much, even more here recently.
I have been seeing him a lot in my dreams. He's still so little, crawling towards me. His little dimples and toothless gums smiling so brightly at me. Gretchen ended up getting me a baby doll. She was told by the nursing home that I needed one because I continue to cry out at night for my baby boy. He was so young when he was taken from me. A mother is never supposed to bury her baby before herself. I wish I could turn back time and change things. I wish I could tell him I love him and hold him one last time. Maybe even try to have another child so he could have a sibling that he would know needs him.
Well, I'm off to bed sweetie. I haven't been sleeping much, because all I see is his sweet face.
Good night dear,
Gertrude Reynolds
