I left the corpse on the floor as I began to run towards the house, I had to get to Embry, something wasn't right. “Kane” I heard Ryder shout from inside, his voice sent chills down my spine, I knew something had happened when I smelt her
blood, was she dead? No, she couldn't be I would of felt it.
“Kane!” Ryder met me at the main door just as I got there, “It's Embry,” That was all he said before I charged past him, following the strong scent all the way up to the attic.
“Wait” Ansel shouted behind us, I turned to see him run up the last few steps, “here” He threw me a pair of shorts from the duffel bag he brought through with us.
