Ambrosia hasn't gotten much sleep lately, so she sleeps through the whole night. Nikolas stood beside her while she slept, he did not make any noise to wake her. He just wanted to stay right by her. Nikolas was in shock that it was her, the woman he fell in love with. He watched her as she sleeps, he fights the vampire off from biting her and turning her into a vampire.
As morning approaches, he must leave to stay out of the sunlight. At first, he thinks about going back to that awful hall, but then he thinks, why? He's in a big Cathedral and he could hide out in one of the rooms there. The Cathedral is big enough that Ambrosia will not know he's there, he's not ready to see her just yet.
