Lila lounged on her bed, dressed in a silky nightie with her eyes glued to the screen of her phone.
The glow from her device illuminated her face, in that dark room, casting a blue-ish dim light on her skin.
She was completely absorbed in the live stream of two makeup artists competing to create a flawless look in under ten minutes. Her brow furrowed in concentration, her lips pursed in anticipation.
“Lia!” She heard Marcus scream her name.
“Lila, can I come in?”
Lila rolled her eyes backwards. All day Marcus was out, having fun and doing whatever he needed while she was in here, stressed and handling the cleaning of her home.
Now that she had gotten by and had just enough time to sit still and rest,the shows up screaming her name.
She was going to ignore him.
