“Emily!!” Matt called as soon as he stepped on the floor, he slammed the door of his car so forcefully, it was loud enough to wake a sleeping child from a mile away. “Emily?!” He called as he rushed to her door. The rain hadn't stopped beating lightly across the roofs, fogging her neighborhood, luckily, the bright lights were there to save the night. “Emily?” Matt jumped across her balcony, knocking her door while he wedged himself on the dry carpet. His second and third knock received no answer, even the fourth.
