“So Doctor, when can I and Matt go home?” Emily flashed Doctor Grey a bright smile before she turned to Matt.
Matt swallowed hard, the tension in room becoming more present than ever as his eyes slid from Emily that was wrapped around his legs to Derek who sat the other end of the room, crossed leg, supporting his chin with a hand.
The doctor lowered his file and turned gently towards Emily.
“We just have a few more test to run and then you should be on your way.”
“Thank goodness.”she sighed, returning her gaze to Matt, “I've missed you so much, by the way, we should stop by our favorite restaurant, maybe get a snack or two. Whatcha think?”
