Chief Engineer Ustrun Strozid gathered the four team members in his office. Otiz, the injured Asterian, had several vacuum bruises on his legs, but was otherwise fit for duty. Thorpe and Daphne joined them.
“Things are moving pretty fast,” Thorpe said. “What can you tell us?”
Jerad, one of the Humans, took the lead. “We split up when we exited the lock. Otiz went to the cityscape dome, Joe headed toward the landscape dome, Forbis headed west—left facing the cityscape dome, and I headed the other way—east. The central disk surface is corroded as if it had been in a sandstorm. Joe and Forbis saw the same thing.” They both nodded. “Otiz, tell them about the dome.”
