Phoenix Starship AndromedaThorpe stood at a podium, glancing around the auditorium. All the key participants were present. A warm feeling passed over him as he examined the faces of the people who had helped them get to where they were—his original Human team, of course, and their uploads; the Asterians who had joined the project from Rogan; the Arcan astronauts. Max, who was part of everything that had happened, even though he didn’t understand his crucial role, walked between the rows of seats, greeting his friends.
Over the platform floated a holoimage of the Keid Sphere as they presently understood it. The outer and inner spheres were transparent, so the people in the room could see its inner workings.
