Flesh-and-blood folks filled every chair, and upload holoimages occupied most of the room’s airspace. Even so, Max and eMax found room to seek out their friends. Everyone focused on the section Mother had broken out.
The breakout was an aerial view of a sparsely wooded area.
“I broke this section out,” Mother said, “because of the interesting ground pattern.” She highlighted the pattern by emphasizing the pattern outline.
Unlike other forests on the equatorial band, the trees in this section followed straight lines in a right-angle crisscross pattern.
