Keid-C was at the center of the sphere, surrounded by empty space for most of the four-point-seven-million-kilometer radius. Eighteen longitudinal tubes formed rings around the star, crossing each other at both poles. The first was 1,500 kilometers inside the inner sphere. Ten degrees separated each tube latitudinally, and 500 kilometers separated them vertically toward the star.
