Thorpe was on the Bridge along with every other crew member who had the time. Jocara sat to his left, with Kenred standing behind her. Daphne sat to his right. Kimberly stood behind her, massaging her shoulders gently. eThorp’s holoimage stood off to one side. Mother had just started displaying the data she had collected.
“Diameter nine point four million kilometers?” Jocara said with wonder in her voice. “That’s not possible. This is a red dwarf,” she added as her scales faded to pale yellow.
The numbers, however, stared her and everyone else in their faces.
“We’re looking at a solid surface here, people,” Thorpe said. “Mother, look more closely at the IR distribution around the sphere.”
