I couldn’t f*****g believe this. Mom had the nerve to argue with her estranged ex-step-brother or daughter-in-law’s deadbeat Dad or whatever he was. His past drug problem and his abandonment of Chasity pissed me off, but it did not justify Mom’s resentment of an innocent child left in her care. Two wrongs did not make a right. I didn’t even care to go down there until I realized Chasity wasn’t playing Mario Kart or whatever stupid game Calix had in his room like I had thought. My younger brother’s bedroom was empty. f**k.
