SAMANTHA POV
I dressed in my office pants as I quickly made breakfast, realizing I only had 20 minutes before work. I had overslept, probably because I couldn't shake off event's from the previous night.
"Uh, I'll just grab coffee and a sandwich. No time for eggs," I mumbled to myself, checking the clock.
I hurriedly finished my breakfast, threw on a plain white shirt, applied minimal makeup, and headed out the door.
At the office, while preparing Dominic's coffee, I scanned around for Sarah, but her office remained locked. She had mentioned she would be there today. Unsure of what excuse to give Dominic this time, I hoped everything was alright with her.
