SAMANTHA POV "It was late Saturday night, and I couldn't sleep. I glanced at my cellphone; it was 1:25 am. Despite the heater being turned up to the highest setting, the room remained unbearably cold. I decided to head to the living room for some coffee—I had noticed the massive coffee machine earlier in the day. Slipping on my slippers, I quietly made my way downstairs.
