Episode 8

Casablanca: Antonio welcomed his grandma and Diana. Dona Ines liked Bernice's family and their wedding would be tomorrow afternoon. Later, Bernice joined them and greeted Diana and Dona Ines.

Diana told Antonio that their sister Daniela can't come, she's in Paris.

Later, Fabian arrived with Barbara congratulating him. Antonio asked about their honeymoon. Fabian said they were still working on getting a son. Barbara went to hug Bernice and Dona Ines.

Antonio said he too hoped to get a son soon.

Isabella was still detained. She wore Antonio's watch that seemed to be lost on her small wrist.

Antonio wondered what if Berniece was just a regular woman. Would Dona Ines and her family accept her? Diana said their uncle seemed to be trying to get Antonio out of the family and get all the wealth. Diana realized Antonio was kind of dreamy. She asked if Jeremy was right when he said Antonio fell in love with one of the workers. She asked if the woman was there on the plantation now. He didn't answer because Berniece came and wanted to show Diana her wedding dress.

The man at the airport brought Isabella's record, and she could already go. That man said he couldn't come tomorrow and wanted another officer to release Isabella. That officer told Isabella that her record hadn't arrived. Isabella said she didn't have any criminal records. That officer asked if she really wanted to go out. She only had to attend to his needs. He'd make sure her records disappeared. The man grabbed her and tried to hug her, and she quickly kicked him and he was down. He pulled his gun and wanted to shoot her. She dared him to pull the trigger. She said she had never slept with any man for money. She said," Is he really going to shoot her for refusing to attend to his needs? That man said Isabella would never leave this place.

Next morning, Isabella sat in the detention room. The other man who arranged for her records to arrive asked what she was still doing there? She was supposed to be released yesterday. Isabella was relieved.

Hacienda Casablanca: Fabian was worried that the hacienda cannot provide enough coffee for distribution in Europe. He told Antonio not to drink too much. Aurelio came to tell Antonio if the workers could join the wedding party. Antonio said, of course. Antonio was drinking too much tequila. Fabian hoped that would not stop his responsibility to Bernice. In his heart, Antonio said Berniece could expect nothing from him tonight or any other night.

Later, Jeremy and his partner arrive with some other friends. Antonio welcomed them. Diana came to see Jeremy and said his family in London were worried about him. He told her to tell his family that he was OK here. Antonio warned Jeremy to stay away from Diana if he didn't want her to hurt him.

Isabella didn't get the flight to Jalapa. A man suggested she take a bus. She was on the way while Antonio was standing in front of the priest, waiting for his bride who was walking towards him.

Isabella was boarding the bus to Jalapa. The scenes were edited as if it's a music video. Antonio imagined him being dragged away from Isabella. He ignored Berniece, Isabella being dragged away from him.

Isabella was excited when she almost arrived. She held close the watch. Antonio and Bernice were exchanging wedding rings, the priest said. The husband and wife, the guests applauded.

Dona Ines didn't like the noisy party full of plantation workers. Dona Ines and Fabian decide to retire and tell Antonio to stop drinking. He was getting drunk. Diana reminded him that he needed to go to Fabian's office to discuss business tomorrow. He couldn't get too drunk. Diana asked him to watch after Jeremy. The left.

Later, Bernice came. He told her to go to bed first, and he'd be there soon. They kissed. He continued drinking.

Later, Jeremy came to ask how he felt. Antonio said he felt nothing and warned him not to remind him of Isabella. He announced to the guests to party all night with music and tequila.

He grabbed a bottle and left the party.

Isabella failed to get a taxi to Casablanca. The taxi driver told her to wait for the first bus that would be available soon.

Antonio went to Isabella's cabin. It was locked. He touched the door and remembered Isabella, who had sworn back to him in a years' time. On October 17th October, she loved her, and she'd wait for her. He threw away the bottle and later pulled out his wedding ring. He cried and threw away the ring too. They slid to the floor and cried harder.

Berniece was waiting for Antonio in bed, but Antonio was too drunk and ignored her. She smiled sweetly. Antonio woke in bed and fell. He immediately his head touched the pillow.

The guests were going back home. Aurelio was getting sleepy and yawning. He was wide awake when he heard a familiar voice calling his name. It was Isabella. Isabella said she's back. She said she didn't get rich. She said she'd never miss coming every time there's a harvest season. She asked what party this was. Antonio drank another tequila and said that Antonio had just got married. She froze and Antonio said he got married yesterday ad his party had just ended. Isabella was quiet and breathing as if she had run 100 meters. She started to cry and Aurelio calmed her down.

She asked where her mother was. He didn't know. She went once or twice to look for her letter, but went. No arrived. Isabella was surprised because she sent a letter each month with some money. Aurelio said that's why the letter never arrived, someone stole the money and threw the letter away. He last heard that Soledad was in Saint Andres, and she was sick while working, and then he didn't hear anything from her. Isabella cried again and wondered where her mom was.

She said she needed money. Aurelio was willing to lend her some, and he wanted her to relax in her cabin. Isabella wanted him to swear not to tell Antonio that she'd returned.

Isabella said to herself, she's stupid, she was a thousand miles away and that is what she got when she returned. She wiped her tears and dragged her bag, calling her mom.

Two girls taking about Isabella had returned. They wondered what she had done when she was gone. Later, Berniece went to the kitchen looking for some stuff to make Antonio's breakfast, but there were not enough ingredients to make her chosen meal. She had to make a hot soup for Antonio. Antonio was too drunk and hadn't wake up.

The girls continue talking about Isabella, and they wonder if she thought her mom was there. Poor girl. Berniece was interested when they mentioned that Isabella had been going to Europe. They told Bernice that Isabella and her mom lived like a gypsy, moving from one place to another working in different plantations throughout the year. They can't imagine living a life like that. One of the girls said Don Lorenzo treated the mother's daughter very well. Bernice wondered what Isabella was doing in Europe. The girl said no one knew. Maybe she had returned because she missed her mother. The other one said maybe there's another reason why she returned. The other girl shook her head and warned the girl to stop talking.

Isabella was in her cabin. Her eyes swollen. She had been crying. She remembered Antonio's worries that he couldn't live without her, and he didn't want to go back to London. She remembered he said that was the first time he was in love with a woman. Isabella was angry and she trashed the whole place. She stopped in front of the mirror and cried.

Berniece brought the soup for Antonio, but Antonio told her to put the plate away and help close the curtain because the sunlight was blinding him. He didn't even remember that he had promised to bring her to Veracruz.

Antonio signed some stuff for Aurelio. Aurelio took the documents and decided to tell him that Isabella had returned, and she was in her cabin. Later, Bernice came and told him that she was ready.

On the way out, Aurelio whispered that he had told Isabella that Antonio was married. Antonio asked if Aurelio asked if she was in Europe looking for him? Aurelio said he didn't have the guts to ask that question when she was in that situation. Aurelio said she wanted to look for her mom. Antonio told Aurelio to give her whatever she needed to find her mother and try to find out what she had done in Europe. And he wanted to know everything when she got back later.

Bernice called after him because it was getting late.

Aurelio suggested he go to see Isabella first, but he refused. Antonio tells Berniece that it was a harvesting problem. She said it's OK if they leave tomorrow. Antonio said no, he needed to get away from the hacienda.

Aurilio came to see Isabella. He said he had one piece of good news and bad news for her. She wanted to know the bad news first. He said Antonio knew she had returned. Isabella was angry because Aurelio told him. Aurelio said it wasn't him, he just knew. He said Antonio wanted to know what she did in Europe. She asked about the good news. He said Antonio got her a van to use to find Soledad. Aurelio accidently said he told Antonio about her return and she caught him. She didn't want him to say Antonio's name any more because he didn't exist. Isabella wiped her tears.

Antonio was restless. He decided to go back to the Hacienda because of the harvesting problem.

He whispered to Aurelio where Isabella was. Aurelio said she was still in her cabin. He ran to the cabin. He called her name and Isabella jumped when she heard the voice. Her eyes filled with tears.

Cabin: Antonio came calling for Isabella. She was crying in front of her mirror. She straightened up her hair and turned to look at him.
