First day of college

The day has finally arrived as I adjust my sunglasses and step through the arched gates of Edenvale University with effortless grace. The morning breeze danced around me like it knew I was someone to be watched, and the low chatter of excited students flitted through the crisp air. I'd waited for this-normalcy, or something close to it. Two years in the human world, my father said. Two years to learn, to blend, to grow.
