Sierra's POV My eyes rested on Rider K, barely looking at the path I ran through. My heart raced, watching him get closer and closer to the finish line. When I got to the line, my chest rose and fell with exhaustion. A gust of wind pushed past me as Rider K crossed the finish line. “And Rider K is the winner!!!” the commentator screamed, followed by the crowd. Rider K got off his bike in minutes, and the support staff took his bike. I rushed over to him and his hands were spread, ready to take me. He rubbed my back as I inhaled his familiar scent. “You scared me so much,” I said, remaining in his embrace. I feared his stubbornness got his parents to win. He had worked so hard.
