Arthur’s POV I held her face, studying her eyes. There were dried tears on her face. In her eyes were more tears that were so close to falling off her eyes. A knot formed in my stomach. I needed to know what had happened. But I didn’t get a reply. Instead, she kissed me with her eyes shut. She pulled away, a drunken smile on her face as she held my face. “I like when you kiss me,” she said and burped. A smile crept on my face.
