Neurodiversity = Neurological Diversity = The idea that diversity in neurological pathways isn’t inherently an illness or a disorder but that, like other diversities such as s****l diversity or ethnicity, it’s a normal part of nature. Neurodiversity doesn’t look at the difference from a medical point of view, as something to ‘cure’, but insists that we’re all human beings and that the best way to help us is by teaching us coping skills and helping our environment to adapt to our needs instead of forcing us to adhere to neurotypical standards.
