Disability Advocacy = Recognising and fighting for different support for different disabilities. Every disability affects a person in a different way. Many people who are physically disabled and still neurotypical, have a different experience than, for example, me with my autism or Fleur and Alex with their ADHD. My communication problems when I’m out in the world are very different from someone who is deaf even though communication is difficult for both of us.
My hand in Mya’s is all sweaty, but I don’t want to let her go. I’m just happy to be going off together.
