Harper’s POV The next morning, I wake up feeling completely like my normal self again. The horrible wave of morning sickness has passed, and I get dressed for work as usual. I manage to keep down a healthy breakfast of oatmeal and fruit before riding into the city with Cade and Max. The atmosphere in the armored SUV is suffocating. Cade has completely returned to his normal, stoic, and fiercely quiet demeanor. Yesterday morning on the bathroom floor, it felt exactly like how we used to hang out in high school.
