Mary's attempts at sociability had met with limited success, insufficient to translate to anything that lasted more than a few weeks. Men, in her estimation, were fickle creatures. Mary wanted a real relationship, one that included frequent s*x. In her desperation she planned a Halloween party in hope that she would meet someone new or spark an interest in someone with whom she was already acquainted.
