“You’re insane calling her your wife after this!” Ben seems even more pissed, his eyes glaring at his father, before returning to me. “Are you that desperate for attention? How can you think of doing this?” “If you’re not in compliance with this, f**k off.” I said to him, curbing my lips in disdain. “Don’t you have a lover to think about? You don’t get to advise me on who to be with.” Ben looked bitter, clenched his jaws. “Yeah, I should stop wasting my time on a f*****g w***e like you.” He huffed before storming out, I could tell he was very much mad at me and looked like he was about to lose his mind. “Are you okay?”’ Eiden asked, his brows furrowed in concern. Glancing around the room I could see the guests slowly looking away and more focussed on their own discussion. Eiden stood beside me, his gaze looking over me.. “I think I need to go.” My voice was lost, quivering, I could still feel my mother’s gaze glaring at me. “Then we shall leave, the wedding is over.” he said decisively, gently taking my hand and leading me through the guests, my heart was racing with each step, the eyes, the pictures, the media, how would I be able handle it all? For some reason with him leading me out, I felt a little calm, reassured that everything would be fine. Stepping outside, I finally sighed in relief, letting the cool air of the evening hit me, staring up at the setting sun ahead. Eiden led me to his car, opening the door for me and helped to shield me from the waving flashes of papparazis. Once we were on the road, the silence between us felt heavy but calming, my head was spinning with so many questions that ached my head, I leaned back, watching the city slowly go dark and the city lights come on. Eiden glanced at me with a concerned look. “Do you want to talk about this?” I sighed, gathering myself together. “I- i think i made a hasty decision and im afraid I would not be able to live a normal life.” “There's no reason to get yourself all worked up about that, it will pass.” “Easy for you to say, I will be the one to receive most of the backlash. You knew about all this from the start so why did you make this offer?” I asked, finally looking at him. Thankfully he had a driver, and we were both able to talk this out. “You deserve to be happy, I'm only teaching him what it means to take care of you,” he smirked softly. “So this is merely a game to you?” I frowned, “Isn’t that what we are both doing? You wanted to make him jealous and I merely wanted to teach him a lesson.” He shrugged his shoulders. Biting my lips I couldn’t blame him but myself for actually thinking I could actually do something this despicable. “Fine.” I sat up, now wasn't the time to blame myself. “I understand that we both did something crazy but let's get things straight. “I know I made a crazy deal with you but it ends here.” “Darling.” he smirked at me. “We are married, you just can't just walk out.” “Well we can go our separate ways, we don't have to pester one another anymore.” I pursed my lips into a thin line. “That will be too quick, we still have a honeymoon to go to, I already made our reservation in one of the most exotic places.” he smiled nonchalantly, seeming like my worries were in no way valid. “We just have to continue playing this game for now darling. I scoffed. “I don't think you quite understand, I have no time to indulge in such games with you, you already have things planned out for yourself.” I rolled my eyes. “Why don't you take a chill and let life play out?” he arched his brows, turning to look at me when the car came to a halt in front of a big mansion. “Trust me, you're going to love it.” With that he got out of the car, walking over to my side of the car while I was still lost in my thoughts, opening the door and gesturing for me to come out. I remained seated in place, staring up at him, even though he looked this good, I couldn’t help but worry if he was just like his son. It's better I resolve things before I get too involved in it. He leaned close to me, his hands leaning on the roof of the car. His smile slowly fading, a more serious expression on his face. “Fine.” His deep voice echoed in my ear, a cold air brushed through my skin, he lifted my chin gently and spoke. “If you want to end things, you have to do something for me to agree to leave you.” Staring at him skeptically, I asked. “What is that?” I blinked curiously, searching his eyes for answers since he was silent for a brief moment. “We can only divorce if you give me a heir.” he revealed. I felt a bitter taste in the back of my throat, almost throwing out an awkward laugh. I c****d my head to the side in disbelief. “What did you say?” He nodded quietly. “Seperating isn't an option as well.” “Youre crazy!” I tried to push him away but he didn't move an inch, staring down at me with predatory eyes. "Hmm." A smirk spread across his lips. “Of course.” “How can you ask that of me? You're Ben's father.” “Youre my wife,” he countered, brushing off the obvious fact like it meant nothing. “Now that I have you, I wouldn't let go of you that easily.” he leaned in whispering in my ear. I could feel my breath hitch in shock, my eyes dancing around while thinking of a way to help myself out of this situation. I wouldn't let him ruin me this way, I know I'm recieving the consequences of my action but this? This is absurd. He gently caressed my head. “I’m his stepfather so you don't have to be worried.” Regardless of that, it's still crazy that he made me his wife. Another bummer I have to get rid of.
