A tense silence fell, punctuated only by the whimpering of Ivory and her friends, each clutching the spot where Xandra had slapped them.
"I never had a stupid sister," Alex sneered, walking away with Liam.
"Beware, or I'll behead you!" Xandra yelled, following them and leaving me with the others.
I turned to follow but Ivory's words stopped me in my tracks. "You caused all this, you b***h!" she screamed.
