Henry’s POV Hearing her cries echo from the room made me feel nauseous. I couldn’t bear hearing her suffer over something I stupidly said. It was a way to protect her. Letting her go so that she could be with someone better was an act of mercy on my part. I was doing her a service, even if she didn’t realize that yet.
