My heart already pounding inside my chest, is the only sound that I can hear, blood rushes through my ears and a sense of dizziness overtakes my mind. I feel like I had gotten up to fast after laying down. My eyes are unfocused and my breathing labored.I look for Liam my hand reaching out for him.
Liam appears at my side, holding me close to him in support. I heard cries and sobs coming from someone. Only after Liam had began stroking my head, while I hid my face from the world, he whispered into my ear how everything will be okay, the cries came from my lips.
"I need- I need air", I say pulling away.
Ash tries to protest, but Jarred shook his head. Liam looks at me and holds my hand.
"We will be here, I will phone my parents and see if they can help", Liam says softly.
I nod turning away and walking out the door not before looking at my dad laying motionless on the couch.
Heat and anger floods me, my body shivers with electricity so I take off into a sprint.
But there were two things that I did happen to notice, the car for one that used to be outside watching was no longer there and the storm clouds seemed to be covering the town like a blanket, only this wasn't to keep out the harsh cold but seemed to keep it.
As I ran, I felt my body shift and I knew I was no longer in human form. My paws come in front of me as I run the wind on my fur felt like a cool glass of water, regretting shifting without changing I look behind briefly looking at the now ripped clothes scattered everywhere. I will have to deal with that later.
I ran towards the lake that we had been to earlier, and as I arrived there I shifted back, and I dropped to my knees. My bare skin touching the cold damp grass, goose bumps littler my skin.
Finally breaking down, allowing myself to feel. I wanted myself to feel, to feel the emotions. I looked at my reflection and nearly jumped when I saw it. My emerald green eyes had begun to glow and I saw specks of red around the rims.
I feeling a presence behind me, turning myself around, the wet grass brushing against my thighs, I looked up, and trying to scream but it gets stuck in my throat.
The figure in front of me seemed to be glowing the dark forest that surrounded us illuminated by it.It looked almost like the way the moon shone at night. Looking away I felt there air around me move and light spilled into the small area, the leaves flew around me which made me brace myself against them. When my hands went to cover my bare skin I found white silk draped over me. My eyes trailed back to the figure.
No longer glowing I could make out its features. Long silvery hair flowed down her shoulders, her eyes seemed to be vacant of any color due to the blue being too bright. Her figure was slim, giving off a deadly, fragile look, and seemed to hold pride and authority with every step. But it was in the center of her chest that took most of my interest, her silk silver dress seemed to surround a crescent moon. It looked like a jewel of some sort but not one I could place.
The woman smiled at me and walked closer. I tried to get up and take a step back, but I seemed to be frozen in place.
"It's a terrible night for you to be out alone at night, don't you think? Especially in this storm, you should be happy I'm the one that got to you before anyone else did", she spoke in a musical yet eerie voice.
Finally finding my voice I asked, "Who-who are you, more importantly what are you?"
"Oh, my dear Clare, you should know who I am because you have prayed to me every night before you go to sleep for the past three years. I know all your secrets, your desires, your hopes and dreams."
"Prayed to? Who was I praying to-", that's when I remembered "Moon Goddess? How can this be? How? Why?"
"Why what?" she asked amused.
"Why now? Why are you only here now to help me," remembering I am talking to a literal goddess I tried to correct how rude I was, "which is to what I am assuming that's why you are here that is....."
"Well, yes you are right there I am here for you but not really to help but more to guide you", she pauses a moment, "You would also frozen to death or gotten sick, what with the path your heading right now that is not something that I could allow"
"Guide me?"
"Yes my child you are destined for so much. To answer your question as to why only now? Well you have finally come of age for your fate to be set into motion"
"Destined? What I the world am I destined for? To be the next alpha? Yeah, I know that one already.... so I don't see what the big deal is..."
"Oh no, that is only a fragment of what you will do with your life. You are destined to join all packs into a war that cause a leader to arise, and that leader will take the throne as ruler over all werewolves and control and stop everything that would cause harm to our race."
"Who is this leader, and what has any of this got to do with me? And war, what war?"
"You will find out in due time, but for now all you need to know is that you are heading into a darkened path, but no matter what you face your life will not end here. The path will lead you away from this human world be prepared to say goodbye to it. Go back to your father, he will wake up in a week's time. And in that week you will need to get your pack ready for battle and the rest of your allies because there is a darkness that is coming for you, and he will not stop until you are under his command."
" Wait... it, is it that 'L' character? The one sending me all these messages?"
"I can't interfere with your fate by telling you too much but one thing I need to tell you is that, be careful who you consider enemy and allies because you never know who's hiding under a mask"
And just like she came, she disappeared, leaving me with nothing but confusion and unanswered questions...
