Night glanced around the chamber, it had been empty for too long now. It had quickly become apparent that Lain missed the comfort of someone beside her, but the problematic emptiness would soon be resolved. Annabel"s death had been untimely. The circumstances would be less than ideal but he could delay no longer. A young girl knocked gently on the door, her mouse-brown hair tied sensibly back into a neat ponytail. Night offered her a warm smile as she lingered uncertainly at the door. “You requested my presence, my lord?” The young lady bowed slightly, her hair tumbling forwards over her shoulder as she did so.
