7Not yet ready to let go of my dreams, I held my eyes closed to savor the residual feeling of the immense, soul-altering power. The lingering sensation of flight was a literal high, no pun intended. The way the air had felt as I slipped through it without the slightest resistance or fear of plummeting left me exhilarated. Why did it have to be just a dream? Pushing the soft chenille blanket away from my body, I sat up and stretched before leaving the comfort of the couch and padding softly to the bathroom in my sock feet.
