8So now what? Those words seemed to be my mantra lately. Thankfully it was a nice semisunny day. But even so, my thin sweater and wool coat were not being very cooperative with keeping out the serious October chill factor. It hadn’t taken me long at all to walk to Green Lake Park, and I had been so lost in my thoughts, it seemed only as though a few minutes had passed. For a short while, I had amused myself by people watching. People just being people as they walked their dogs, jogged, or drank morning coffee while reading on park benches. Couples just being couples, holding hands and snuggling against the cold wind blowing in off Puget Sound. Enough of that. No more watching.
