Following the gossip brought in by one of her maids, Shamim hides in a corner, spying on Parisa's door. Sharou hardly visited their rooms, not to talk of wanting to stay the night. "You, come here," She called the servant guarding the door. "Fetch some snacks from the pantry. My girls are not available," she said.
"Mistress, I'm not allowed to..."
"Need I show you your place here, girl?" The Mistress lifted a brow.
Shamin was a character most of the servants were weary of. She was known to stir up trouble out of nothing. "Forgive me, but I've been given strict orders not to leave my post. Allow me to find you another servant. Please," the maiden said.
