SKYE'S POV The silence that settled over Nighthaven after the water shifted was different from the heavy, suffocating dread of the valley basin. This was the quiet of a siege that had ended before the first arrow could fly. From the high windows of the tactical chamber, we could look down toward the temple plaza.
