The one who seems to be the leader of the assassins keeps looking into the direction of the Iroko tree as if he can see us, I had to keep praying in my mind to all the gods I know of and the ancestors of my father to please save us from these men, and just like that I watched as the leader raised his right hand to usher the others towards the opposite direction, we all let out a sigh of relief when they were gone and we hurriedly came out from our hiding and decided to just turn around and go back through the direction we came into the forest, maybe we will be able to get to the palace by the village road.
