Chapter 3

Dhahab POV

*reaches school*

*girls laugh*

We reached school. Hayat is a funny kind hearted girl she told jokes and how her life was in Ethiopia she told me not everything is as talked like she told me that they have cities, fun places

Resorts basically they have anything we have she told me the life she had the embarrassing moments almost every thing I dont even know how the time was enough for her to tell me all that but one thing is sure she talk a lot and she is also a fast talker.

Now I'm seating in the corner watching her introduced herself with confidence I wish I had half of that I would have benefited me a lot. Anyways back to her she finished introducing herself and she is coming to seat beside me. Just as she seats she starts talking so loud the teacher has to tell us to be quiet she looked at me at the same time that I had to hold my mouth to not let any laugh sounds come out I mean I dont want to get detention.

*ring* *ring*

We learned few more periods. Now its break time, as it was a habit of mine to go to the library. And as Habits are hard to die, so as always when I was about to go to the library hayat asked me where I was goin.

D: I was goin to the library

H: why?

D: to hide from the bullies

H: why I mean you have me now right dont you trust that I will protect you

D: I trust you it's just that I dont want you to be targeted

H: that wont be a problem because I will give them what they deserve .

D: but

H: no buts we are goin to the cafeteria

D: fine

*cafeteria*

When we entered the cafeteria every one was looking at me I felt self conscious because they were staring at me and hayat led me straight to the corner after we took our lunch when we sat down every one went back to their business even if some of them still looked at me. While me and hayu were talking I heard clicking of heels that I knew so well when I looked back I saw Cynthia and her boyfriend Jack and at that time I new very well I was done for

Jack=J

C: well well well who do we have here the social outcast got a friend congratulations

D: what do you want

C: do you think you can stand up after you got a friend the kitten wants to be a lion hahahaha guys I think we should put her back I her place so that she could go cry to her mommy hahaha oh wait she dosent have one hahahaha

*Dhahab eyes tears up*

D: can't you just leave me alone what do you get from bullying me

C: oh the kitten is sorry the lion is having to much confidence we are scared

H: you sure should be scared

J: the kittens are thinking they are lion should we show them the mirror so they can face reality

*hayat punches jack*

H: told ya you should be scared come Dhahab let's leave

*Dhahab in shock *

D: oh..okay.....okay

After we left the whole cafeteria in shock we went to class after the day ends

H: Dhahab are you free

D:oh I'm sorry I have to to work

H:where do you work at ?

D:I work at a cafe the old married couples own

H: is any free place for a new worker

D: yeah one of the workers resigned yesterday it may be a place for you

H: great let's go together then

After that we both went to the cafe and I introduced her to the old couple they accepted her I was happy that I finally have a friend it was always boring to work alone now I have a friend I could work along with. And while working I saw omar come in and sat on one of the chairs when I was about to go to him one of the workers went so when I was about to go to another customer I heard the worker call for me after that she came to me and told me that omar want me to take his order I went there and asked what he want he told me that he want cherry muffins with chocolate milkshake after I took his order and went to bring it I dont know why but I felt happy when asked for he for me to take his order. I think I'm having a crush on him. Dhahab from where did u bring that idea dont forget even if your not a strong you know very well that dating isn't acceptable. Dhahab wake up dont bring this stupid ideas in your head

While I was thinking I heard hayat call my name so I went to her for her to ask me why I was blushing I blushed even more after hearing what she said and I started drinking water for me to cool down for a second she looked at me more like stared at me for a min or some then starts laughing so hard I though her gut was gonna fell of few min later she stopped laughing and said "you have a crush who is he " just as she said that the water I was drinking came out fast that I started coughing so bad hayat was laughing and trying to help me at the same time. Oh god that was a disaster she said after that be both went to cleaning as it was time that our shift will end. I heard my phone ring when I pick it up is it was my father's number. I got shocked I only got 2 hours left until the clock hits 12:00pm. And I still haven't went shopping I'm done for I quickly answered the phone the second I answered it I heard a loud voice " where the hell are you and you better be ready or else" I'm done for when I told him I was at work.
