Chapter Fifteen Hadn’t he heard a word she’d said? Billy Jo couldn’t remember the last time someone had yanked the rug out from under her so hard. She stepped over to Mark, so close to him, looking up at him and seeing his sunglasses nestled in his red hair. His arms were crossed, and the seams of his worn jean jacket were pulled tight. “What are you doing?” She kept her voice low and leaned in, hoping he felt the bite of her words.
