The Love I Have Found

Taking care of two toddlers and a baby was hard, nearly an impossible task for an unexperienced woman. If it wasn't for the daytime nannies Thomas hired she would be dead.

Maria and Alex became the best buddies immediately, they accepted each other as siblings with all heart along baby Nicholas.

After three weeks of been a mother of three she understood why her mom threw Maria to her arms when she was a baby. Thomas helped when he were at home, but he had to work most of the day leaving her alone with those little devilish angels.

Alex was quiet but it only took Maria's eyes on him to set the storm on, they ran around the whole house, she had to get into the pool to swim with them, distract them in the garden so they wouldn't break anything else inside. Ugh... Be a mother is hard!

When Thomas were home he could keep them quiet somehow, it was like magic! He was a professional taking care of his kids and surprisingly he wasn't like most of the dad's when it came to change diapers, he actually liked to change them, according to him, it made him feel capable and a good father.

After dinner she managed to put the toddlers to sleep but Nicho was been needy and craving for attention so Thomas got him and did his best to keep him distracted but ended up falling asleep with the baby on his chest.

_Thomas..._ Joalin did her best to wake him up softly_ Thomas!

_What?!_ he snored_ Oh he is sleeping...

_Yes, give him to me_ She took the baby gently into her arms_ You can go sleep, I'll leave him in the crib.

_Yeah thanks.

The couple headed to the rooms and while Joalin took care of baby Nicho, Thomas brushed this teeth and put a shorts on. He started sleeping with clothes since the day Maria got into their bed during the night and Joalin was thankful for it.

_I’m so tired_ Joalin got into the room dragging her feet_ Been a mom it's definitely harder than running a thousand companies.

_Come here_ Thom said from the bed.

_What are you up to?

_I just want to hug you, I promise I won't try anything else_ he opened his dark eyes to look at hers.

And after changing into her dress pajama Joalin reached to him and rested her head in his chest.

_Why did you hit me that day?_ she suddenly asked making him wake up.

_Because you deserved it_ he answered coldly making her lift herself to look at him.

_What? Why and how?_ she was hysterical.

_You raised your voice at your mother_ he explained calmed_ That is unacceptable!

_She sold me!_ she couldn't believe he was defending her mother_ But of course you would support her after all, you were the buyer_ She stood up, making him follow her moves_ You have to support it no matter what, because you are part of it.

_Just sleep for God's sake, that happened a month ago, get over!

_Get over it?!_ she was stupefied_ You bought me, forced me to marry you, to be the mother of your children and worst, you hurt me.

_That was nothing compared to what I'll do to you if you keep annoying me_ he warned sitting on_ Since I met you I've been trying to do things slowly and patiently, but if you keep pushing my nuts I'll f**k you up... Literally.

He warned stiffing his face and she simply nodded afraid of what he could do, so she just decided to sleep.

_And get off my bed, you are sleeping on the floor tonight_ he said closing his eyes.

_The floor?

_Do you want to sleep outside?_ that simple question made her take her pillow and another sheet and lay down on the hard carpeted floor.

Despite the hardness of the floor she managed to have a good night of sleep, she even had good dreams with her children and a beautiful dog, she even dreamt that she was kissing Thomas willingly.

_Mommy!_ she heard a loud yell making her wake up instantaneously_ Mama.

_Oh my God... What time is it?_ she asked herself picking up her phone_ Two in the morning? What is wrong with everybody that wont let me sleep?_ she got up to open the door.

_Mommy!_ Alex yelled again once she opened the door.

_Quiet sweetie, daddy is sleeping_ she said getting on her knees to hug him and Maria.

_Maria was having a nightmare_ he said embarrassed. Maria was two, Alex was about to turn 4, so he was way more developed than his sister.

_Maria?_ Maria never had nightmares, it was clearly him_ What was the nightmare about, do you know?_ he nodded.

_She dreamt that you were going to return me to orphanage, like the last family did_ those words broke her heart all she could do was hug him.

_Look at me my love_ she hold her tears and lift her son's face_ I am your mommy now and I will never let you go, I love you and I'll give my life for yours just like I would do for your siblings_ the little boy started to caress her face_ Do you understand that?

_Yes_ he answered shy.

_Do you want to sleep with mommy and daddy?_ they jumped excited_ Come on!

Thomas woke up the first time he heard Alexander calling for Joalin but decide to stay in the bed since the boy was asking for mom not dad. It was petty and he knew it, but he wanted to see her motherly skill in action.

And he was surprised... She developed such a strong love for the boys in such a small time, it looked like the three of them came from her womb.

She literally gave her heart to that little boy who didn't share her blood, features, genes and anything else but the name and of course the love they felt for each other.

He moved to the edge of the big bed to give his kids a place to lay and hugged them back.

Joalin didn't return to bed with them, she locked herself in the bathroom instead, so after checking them out, he went to see if she was okay.

He found her sitting in the dry tub and decided to sit next to her. She was obviously crying.

_What's wrong?_ he asked looking at the big mirror in front of them.

_It just broke my heart, to see him so worried that we would send him back to the orphanage like his previous family... Who does that?

_There’s a lot of people who think they are qualified to have a family until the moment they have one_ he answered calmly placing his arm over her shoulders getting closer. Unconsciously Jo placed her had on his shoulder and hugged him.

She was affected by all the emotions and didn't noticed how affectionate she was being to him. Thomas on the other side was observing how good they looked together, and how beautiful she was even crying.

_Daddy!

They heard a small cry from the room and knew it was Maria asking for her king.

_Lets go_ he helped her stand_ They'll wake up soon if we leave them alone longer.

_Yes!

The rest of the night was so peaceful and quiet, Maria grabbed her dad's neck and didn't let go until she was deeply asleep. Alex on the other hand clanged to mommy's chest.
