Ad maiora was Latin for 'toward great things'. Books, quotes, poems, and sayings could hold some many different meanings, it all depended on the person's perception and what sort of feelings had those words the power to produce in one's heart. Affecting one's point of view and mindset, just a couple of words could ignite a light in our souls, causing us to want and have the need to achieve and do things we had never done before, perhaps that was why books of personal growth and self-help were sold often, though, it didn't always work.
