First Day of School

“Good Morning Mom, good morning dad!” I say as I come down the stairs. “Good morning sweetheart,” my mom says while fixing chocolate chip pancakes. Mmmm my favorite. “Good morning dear”, my dad says as I sit down and fix me a glass of orange juice. “Are you ready for your first day of your senior year?” he asks. “I guess so”, I reply. “Do I need to take you to school on my way to the office,” my mom asks while she puts 3 huge pancakes on my plate. “No ma’am, Sophie is picking me up.” “Thanks though.” As soon as I finish eating I hear a car horn outside. “There’s Sophie.” “Bye mom bye dad love y’all have a great day” “You too honey,” they reply in unison. I can’t wait to find my mate and have that kind of connection with him. When I get outside and get in the car Sophie ask me the same thing my parents did. I tell her I guess & she tells me not to worry she’s got my back. I tell her I know I can always count on her. We arrive at school before the first bell has rung. As we walk in we walk right past Ashley and she yells out “Look it’s the wolf-less omega and her nerdy friend”. Which makes everyone around us laugh. Sophie wants to punch her but I just pull her in the school telling her she’s not worth it. I only have to deal with her for 3 more months then I can graduate early and leave this place. The day passes by slowly & soon it’s time to go home. Is this how the next 3 months are going to be? I sure hope not.
