A Request and a Ruckus

James's letters to Emily had become more frequent, more eager. He wrote of his days, his thoughts, his dreams. And then, one day, he asked for something more. "Dear Emily," he wrote, "I feel like I know you so well, yet I have no idea what you look like. Would you be so kind as to send me a picture of yourself? I promise to return the favor. I want to see the smile that brightens up my day, the eyes that sparkle with wit and humor." Emily's heart skipped a beat as she read his words. A picture? She hadn't expected that. She felt a sense of confusion, wondering if she should trust James with her appearance. She thought about their connection, about how much they had shared with each other through their letters. She thought about how much she enjoyed his company, even from afar. But she was hesitant, unsure if she was ready to share this part of herself with him. She sat at her desk, staring at James's letter, unsure of what to do next. Should she send the picture, or should she keep her appearance a secret? The decision weighed heavily on her mind, and for now, she couldn't bring herself to make it. And so, she simply sat there, frozen in uncertainty, the letter still clutched in her hand...
