Talia’s POV
I woke up to a bright light shining right in my face and an annoying beeping sound.
The spinning had finally stopped but the light made it hard for me to open my eyes fully on the first try.
“Lia!” Shane exclaimed when I let out a groan.
“Ugh.”
“I’m right here,” he said holding my hand.
“What happened?” I asked as I looked around.
I was no longer outside like I had first been. I was now in the infirmary hooked up to all kinds of machines.
“You passed out in the middle of it all,” he sighed. “You made me worried.”
“I’m sorry,” I said as I tried to sit up.
“No, no don’t move,” Shane gushed while pushing me back down. “The doctor will be here soon.”
I didn’t try to fight him on it as the pillow seemed to swallow me.
