Chapter 21 - First Training

AFTER their breakfast, Kairo invites Weng to start their training. The young man promised that it would teach her how to defend herself. It has also rested, and they are back to normal. They were in the shady palm trees inside the expansive house.

"This is your sword." Kairo brings the sword to her.

"Do I really have to do this, Kairo?"

"Yes," was its sparing response.

"Why don't you teach magic instead? Isn't Hyperion threw his magic at us?" she asked.

"It's just basic, and I want you to learn physical skills," his face was serious.

"Huh? Physical skills?" Only then she reached the sword. "I don't need physical anymore— ay!" She almost fell when the sword she was holding was quite heavy. "Oh, my god! It’s so heavy! W-why is it like this ?!" She adjusted her grip on her right hand.

"That's just feasible."

"So heavy!"

Kairo sighed. "You're just complaining about the sword. What if in the next training?"

She winced. "Just another training, please."

"No," Kairo firmly said to her.

"Please, Kairo." She looks like a child begging for it.

"Still no for an answer."

"Kairo..." She begged the young man through her cuteness face and eyes blinking.

"It's a big no!" Suddenly a sword was shown, holding it to the right side of his hand. "There are rules about handling a sword, and I want you to take it seriously and study it."

"All right, and I can't do anything."

"First, there are things you should consider when you hold the sword. It is the thought that it is a weapon to protect oneself and not hurt others. “What⸻” She was stunned when she saw another sword in his hand while his other hand still dodge her attack. Because her stomach was free, Kairo's sword was aimed at right there.

She swallowed. She also saw that Kairo’s sword was sharp. Later, the sword disappeared from his hand, and he lowered his other hand with the sword. She also slowly lowered her sword by means she failed in the first training.

Kairo took a few steps away from her. In comparison, she was thinking about where she was going to hit him. I will not win just like this. Kairo is vital and immortal. But the young man was determined to break down her defense, so he pushed her hard, but she thought to avoid herself as well as the direction of the sword to her left while their strength still collided. She thought of moving fast and with all her might to hit the left side of it because it was free as she turned, but Kairo held his sword, and he was now the target of his sharp weapon.

Kairo smiled. “Good. I never thought you could do that. But you still lack knowledge because if you look like the immortal in front of you, you should have a plan next time he catches you in this style. ”

“I only thought of that because there is no defense on your left as you fight on the right side. Next time I will be careful. ”

"Good." He then removed the sword from his neck and held out his hand to her. "Stand up."

"Thanks."

"Let's do it again."

"All right."

"From this time, I’ll be the one to rush into your direction."

Weng is already preparing herself because she knows that the young man will be serious about teaching her. She also did not complain about that matter because she knew she needed such man to man training. During their training, she did nothing but resist each attack or was also able to escape from his deadly movements, imitated every young man's gesture how to attack and defend herself while holding the sword properly.

Swordsmanship is the art of attacking and defending with a sword. The art is popularized by its description in films and is popular in most Japanese movies. But sword techniques have become part of Western countries in the world. The Medieval age is a testament to the fact that the sword was practiced diligently in the western world.

It was first identified as a sport of gladiators who fought to the death in the coliseum. Over time, the love for the iron blade grew, almost enticing hundreds of spectators to pick up the sword. Over the years, such swords have come in various shapes, sizes, and techniques involving them.

“Rebellion is one of the sword fighting strategies that define the use of swords to inflict physical damage on the enemy. It usually consists of three parts, namely pushing, cutting, and slashing.
